New York-Approved Diversity, Inclusion, and Elimination of Bias CLE Programs

Effective January 1, 2018, experienced attorneys must complete at least one (1) credit hour of diversity, inclusion and elimination of bias credit each biennial compliance period. This type of credit will count as part of the existing requirement of 24 total credits (including four credits of ethics and professionalism). The rule change applies to experienced attorneys due to re-register on or after July 1, 2018. It does not apply to newly admitted attorneys. Diversity, inclusion and elimination of bias credit may only be earned for qualifying programs taken on or after January 1, 2018. Credits cannot be earned in advance of the January 1, 2018 effective date.

The following PLI programs are approved by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board for all or partial diversity, inclusion, and elimination of bias credit and are not subject to a credit limit. PLI covers all application costs. PLI does not rely on reciprocity for approval, and you do not have to worry about self-applying or any extra application fees. Upon completion of an approved product, you will receive a New York State Continuing Legal Education Board-approved certificate right away.
