Taken from the Web Program Net Neutrality Returns: Stand-Off Between California and the Feds Recorded October, 2018 in New York [01:02:55]

Net Neutrality is back on center stage now that California has passed a net neutrality law that exceeds the Wheeler FCC net neutrality order.  The California law was immediately challenged by the Justice Department and four major trade associations for a range of broadband internet access providers.   Please join two experts -- Rachelle B. Chong of the Law Offices of Rachelle Chong  (a former FCC Commissioner and CPUC Commissioner) and Michele C. Farquhar (a former FCC Wireless Telecommunications Bureau Chief) of Hogan Lovells US LLP -- and learn more about:

  • The California law and similar recent state laws and executive orders;
  • The legal challenges against these state actions on preemption and other grounds; and
  • Ongoing efforts related to the FCC’s Restoring Internet Freedom Order.
